Frequently Asked Questions
General Interest
We have spent many late nights studying the ins and outs of the industry. We found there are too many middlemen and every single one is only out for their profit. This shouldn’t surprise anyone. After seeing patient after patient overpay, we decided we needed to stand up and do something about this and redirect the money back to Idaho and our patients! In a recent survey we performed, we found that for generic medications it was more beneficial for patients to NOT use their insurance about 60% of the time! Is your copay $10 or even $15 per month using your insurance? You are overpaying, and most likely we can save you money.
Yes. We take every measure within our power to maintain a safe and confidential web portal as well as our internal software and keep them updated and HIPAA compliant.
The long term effects are difficult to explain due to the fact that the whole industry has intentionally made itself so complicated. Short term, we only care about one thing. We are going to take back all the money that is going to pharmacy middlemen and give it back to Idahoans through direct savings on our prices!! In addition to saving money, we are also out to save our patients time so they can spend that time with their family or catch a local basketball or football game. Has anybody tried to call their pharmacy lately?
Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Emmett, Meridian, Middleton, Nampa, and Star at this time, but expansions in Idaho are in the works. Yes, we plan to change how pharmacy is done in the whole state of Idaho!

Yes! We will make the process easy! Just call, email, or complete our Transfer Request Form and we will initiate the process of acquiring your prescriptions. Keep in mind that only prescriptions with remaining refills are transferable. If a prescription is out of refills, contact your primary care provider and request that they send a prescription to us. Once we have record of your prescription information we will take care of contacting the doctor for future refills.
This can depend upon acquiring a prescription from your primary care provider or transferring a prescription from another pharmacy. Once we have a valid prescription order we will immediately begin processing it.
Order
No, automatic refills are not available. Feel free to contact us when your medication supply gets low and we will gladly refill them.
We are 100% transparent and our prices can be searched for on our website. As always, if you have any questions (or you are struggling to afford your medications) feel free to call us!
Call (208) 369-2211 or email us at info@idahoprioritypresciptions.com and we can provide pricing, expected time of delivery, and quantities of medications we do not have on our list.
Not at this time, but this could change in the future.
No. Due to the current pharmaceutical industry there is no flexibility in the pricing of brand name medications.
Yes! It is 100% legal to dispense more than a 3 month supply, but insurances often limit it to 3 months and sometimes even 1 month at a time. If you are only going to the doctors office every 6 or 12 months why are you forced to go to the pharmacy and wait in a huge line every month? This helps us reduce costs and saves you gas money and valuable time!
At this time, in order to keep prices low, we can only dispense the manufacturer we have in stock at the time of order, but feel free to call us and we can discuss options and prices for certain manufacturers.
If, for any reason, we are unable to fulfill your order, we will contact you as soon as we are aware of the issue.
